Afterparti (launch party ticket and issue #00)
Join us for our Launch Parti!
Tuesday March 12th marks the end of our chapter as the New Architecture Writers, and the official beginning of Afterparti. We will be celebrating alongside those who contributed to our programme, live event, and Issue #00.
Entry comes coupled with a zine and drinks. Artwork will span the walls of both floors, with video projected downstairs. Music throughout the night will be inspired by an article from the zine itself, ‘Sound Advice’.
Follow @afterpartizine on Instagram for updates and sneak peeks on all things Afterparti. See you there!
Afterparti
We believe in platforms for radical underrepresented voices in architecture and design. Born out of the founding New Architecture Writers group in 2018, Afterparti is a diverse collective that unpacks big ideas on contemporary urban space through the lenses of identity and race. Each publication takes its departure point from a preceding public event and becomes a printed platform for writing, for imagining and for keeping our on-stage conversations alive.
Issue #00 is an experiment in style, voice and collaboration. It builds upon the varied perspectives and themes that emerged out of our inaugural event, The Time For Failure is Now, hosted at the Royal College of Art. The interviews and panel discussion held on the day provide the source material for the articles in #00. Each contributor’s article is a personal response to a statement made during the live event, where the work is free to take any direction or form.
