AF Tour: Florentia Village

£10.00

Join us on Saturday 18th April for a tour of Florentia Village, a landmark maker campus in the Haringey Warehouse District, designed by Turner Works for General Projects.

Building on its 1970s heritage as a garment hub, the site has been transformed into a 200,000 sq ft creative ecosystem. It now houses over 50 businesses, anchored by a new manufacturing workshop for British fashion designer Margaret Howell.

The masterplan replaces an underused storage yard with 4 new buildings with sawtooth-roofs, interconnected by vibrant streets-in-the-sky and communal courtyards. This playful yet robust design uses corrugated metal, polycarbonate and pops of colour to celebrate its industrial function.

Designed for the circular economy, the bolted steel frames are fully demountable and recyclable.
