AF Monograph Tours: 6a


AF Monograph Tours are a new series of day-long explorations of a single practice's built archive. This season looks at projects by Amin Taha, Peter Barber Architects, Heatherwick Studio, Richard Seifert, 6a & McMorran & Whitby. Led by London's leading architects, architectural historians and writers, the cycle tours will use a live audio broadcast to offer a socially-distanced way to experience the work of each practice.

Led by: Tom Emerson and Stephanie Macdonald

6a architects was founded by Tom Emerson and Stephanie Macdonald in 2001. The practice is best known for its contemporary art galleries, educational buildings, artists’ studios and residential projects, often in sensitive historic environments. Tom Emerson studied architecture at the University of Bath, the Royal College of Art and the University of Cambridge. In 2010 he was appointed Professor of Architecture at the eth Department of Architecture in Zurich. Stephanie Macdonald studied fine art at Portsmouth College of Art and following a scholarship to Japan, architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, the Royal College of Art and London Metropolitan University with Caruso St John.
